ABOUT NORFOLK
WATERCOLOUR
GROUP

Come along to our meetups to improve your art in a relaxed and social atmosphere and under the guidance of a professional instructor. Complete beginners to experienced artists all welcome.

Our 2 hour meetups are held in a different location each time, usually outdoors.

Bring your own materials. If you are a complete beginner all you need to start is a set of watercolour paints, brushes, and water container.

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. The instructor is there to help everyone.

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Nathan was charming and taught us watercolour techniques step by step, which was really helpful. It was a lovely way to spend the morning and I would recommend this to anyone starting out on their watercolours adventure.

I really enjoyed the experience. It was great being outdoors and the weather was perfect. Nathan was great at teaching new skills. He was very patient and kind. The day has inspired me to try new techniques with painting. The ladies who joined the group were friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely try another course in the future.

A beautiful day and a beautiful setting. It was a pleasure meeting Nathan in a small group which made it easier to follow his tuition. He is very patient and understanding and I enjoyed the class. I will be looking at another course in the near future.

.Lovely venue but even on a blue sky day it was very chilly.... I would have paid extra to be inside a community hall or similar venue. Nathan was very encouraging and made us feel welcome and a good tutor

I thought the tutor was very helpful but possibly as a beginner this was maybe not the best way to start with water colour pains. That said I picked up some good techniques which I have practiced and applied to my card marking hoppy so it was useful.

This 9x12 watercolor was inspired by a photograph of the Turks and Caicos Islands at sunset where she was recently visiting. Plam trees dominate tge scene overlaying the bushes with a peek of the cabanas and calm ocean in the background. You see the sky at sunset with dark rainclouds on the horizon. I painted this piece to exemplify atmospheric landscapes with both energy and tranquility,
